Seeing Through the Haze
How can you get life to shift and look more the way you want it to look?
A key question, no doubt.
There are so many people who do not like what they see, how they feel about life or how they feel others see them. There are so many people who would love to change this, to see life from a different perspective, through new glasses, to feel like life was better than what they are experiencing.
On the other hand, masters often talk about their advanced students seeing life as if they were seeing it for the first time. They say that at some point on the path a students has a deeper vision of life and nothing is ever the same again. For these students, and for the master, problems seem to disappear. Burdens that weigh upon them seem to dissipate into the ethers and these are all replaced by a flowing, smooth life. They live a wonderful life full of joy and magic.
The master and their students seem to have special glasses that allow them to see life in a way that most can’t. They see deeper than the problems, straight to the solutions. They see beauty and love in anamosity and hate; they find meaning when most find emptyness, company when most feel solitude.
How do some people see this way? How do some people change their lives around, as if they could turn water into wine or metal into gold?
They know a secret. They know about how life truly works and they use this to their advantage.
The secret? It is clarity and simplicity, and it comes from seeing what is truly before our eyes.
A master is humble and knows that they are merely a channel, a vessel for their Source Energy to come through. They know that the Law of Attraction will bring to them life experiences that match their own energy, so they seek to be with their own energy. They choose to see what is before their eyes by seeing their selves as they truly are in every way. They know that you can only change something that you know needs changing by allowing it and then allowing Source Energy to change it.
When we recognize that life is simple and we are clear about this, instead of making life complicated, then we allow solutions to our problems. We allow ourselves to recognize that the energy before can change, that is the simple answer. Unlike rats in a maze, no one is trying to trick us or trying to get us to figure something complicated out about life. The secret is that life is quite the opposite, it is simple. It is so simple that we overlook the solutions to life by reading more into life and into ourselves than is truly there.
A master recognizes that energies such as hate do not really exist, only love does. Notice how simple this could make your life. What is experienced as hate is a temporal state like a nightmare, so the master does not focus there. Instead he or she focuses on allowing their energy to change by allowing their Source Energy to flow through them, changing who they are.
When we allow our lives to be simple and we allow clarity instead of reading into life or analyzing it, then we begin to see more of life as it truly is. We begin to see that others don’t see us the way we thought they did. We begin to feel more of the love in our lives that was always there and our lives take on meaning and purpose.
When we allow simplicity and clarity, we come to see that we are simple beings. We see that all we truly are is divine and it becomes clear that we are who we always wanted to be (and life becomes more than we could ever dream of) when we simply allow our Source Energy into our lives.

The You On A Tropical Vacation
On vacation we just aren’t ourselves. That is truly one reason we go on vacation.
Because everything is energy first, different places hold different energies, which is really why we go to them. After all, we are looking for a change of scenery, a change of pace. These truly mean that we are looking for a different rhythm, different from our daily routine.
We tend to be attracted to beautiful, magical vacation spots because, after all, they are relaxing and revitalizing. On a good vacation we rest, we let go of our daily concerns and worries and we enjoy ourselves. In other words, we stop being the version of us who worries at home. We leave the version of us that perhaps saves money at home and the version that is busy being uptight. On vacation, at least to some degree, that goes because we are taken with our new environmen, and it’s energy.
Getting away for a trip, especially to a location with a higher vibrating energy, lets us become a version of ourselves that we like more. We can’t help it because we get more into our flow. We tend to slow down on vacation and explore more of ourselves through our interests, the activities,, the food and even the shopping we do. Haven’t you ever bought something wild, like a flowered Hawaiian shirt, that you normally wouldn’t buy at home? It’s because you are tapping into the more lively or colorful you.

Inner Light
We all Shine
The subject of birthdays came up today relative to celebrations. This is an interesting topic because birthdays are sometimes celebrated and sometimes parties are held for birthdays. That is to say that sometimes a person’s life is celebrated and other times there is a birthday which is a reason for having a party.
So, today I mentioned that I’d read a book several years ago called Mutant Message Down Under and that the topic of celebrations was viewed differently by the Aboriginal tribe, which the book is about.
The tribe doesn’t celebrate birthdays (doesn’t even seem to keep track of them) as they see nothing “special” in a certain day once a year. Instead when an individual achieves something for themselves within their lives, such as conquering a new skill or growing in some way, then they let the tribe know and a celebration is created to honor their achievement.
What a powerful position to take! These celebrations are about knowing ourselves so well that we are monitoring our lives and our development. This is a wonderful, empowing way to be! What a great way to view life!
A birthday is the day we were born, and we were all born. Unfortunately, with this there can be nothing extraordinary to us because everyone who is alive was born. From this perspective there is nothing that makes us unique. And yet, we are all unique, we each have an inner light.
We can empower ourselves in our lives by finding our own celebrations, our own achievements and development. After all, we are all different from one another, the way everyone’s finger print is different. And as we each tune into ourselves and our own lives it becomes easier and easier to find what makes us different. Sometimes what makes us extraordinary is our ability to build beautiful things; for others it is the ability to entertain others; some people have green thumbs and still others make great food. Unfortunately, our world tends to judge what is admirable in others and what is not. Often what the media focuses on is the pain and suffering of others or the accomplishments of people that don’t really affect our lives, such as celebrities. But the truth is that our lives and our personal worlds are smaller than our society and there are always people in our lives that have great positive affects and influences over us such as teachers, friends or family. The extraordinary influence of these people in our lives may be insignificant to an outsider, but not to us. Who influences you and your life? Who shines their light into your light? Where do you shine your light on others?
Our own inner light is extraordinary because it is our unique light that brings love and joy to ourselves and to others. That is what makes it worthy of a celebration. What ever it is that we do, our true expression of ourselves and our love, that is a great gift in life. It may go unnoticed by the world, but it need not go unnoticed by ourselves and those with whom we share our lives.
To celebrate our accomplishments and our personal development is to bring intent and purpose to our lives. And to celebrate ourselves in this way is to allow ourselves to become more of who we wish to be.

We are having a strange summer – it has been overcast, stormy and rainy. It is unusual, as the last 5 summers were not like this.
However, it seems that a lot of the country is having uncommon weather. On the other hand, I’ve also heard that this kind of weather had been common ten years ago. It just goes to show, you can’t judge how things should be. Often it is hard to know exactly what is true or accurate.
Nevertheless, I find that the explanation for the weather doesn’t matter. What is most important is my connection to it – how I am experiencing it. And I love this weather. It is energetic cool and beautiful!

How Do You Experience It?
Always ask yourself what your experience is, as that’s what really matters. Recognizing and having your experience is what puts you in the flow of life. On the other hand, when we are disconnected from our experience and are stuck in our heads figuring out why things are the way they are, we lose our flow.We begin to have an altered experience in which we are lost in our thoughts and in seeking the correct or logical answer, all along not really noticing our own life experience. How logical is that?
One of the purposes of life is to have our own experience, thereby coming to know ourselves. We are meant to notice how things make us feel, how they affect us and how they change us. They are meant to help us come to know Who we truly want to be and what we want to experience. It is important to be connected to ourselves and our own experience this way as this is how we come to know ourselves and to know life.
Our minds are a part of our experience, but they are not meant to be our experience themselves. This gets us stuck in a place that is too mental or thinking-oriented. Our minds are meant to help us have our experience, to figure out how to have our experience and how to improve our experiences. For example, I am not meant to walk around outside during a thunder storm, since that could lead to a dangerous experience. Instead, if I enjoy the rain then my mind, or my thinking capability, is meant to help me figure out a safe way to experience the rain or the sound of the thunder. Our minds are only a part of what makes us up: we also have a feeling aspect, an energetic aspect and a physical aspect. In order to experience life we truly need to connect with as many aspects of ourselves as we are able.

Life Can Pass You By
When Life Passes You By
Have you ever noticed people say that their lives have passed by in a heartbeat? That decades have gone by and that they don’t know where that time went? Unfortunately, that is a common perception and one which indicates that the person hasn’t necessarily been present during their life. In other words, people are often so lost in a memory of the past, in a hope for the future or in an alternate world of thought or escape, like fantasy, that they don’t truly experience their own lives. For these people their own life experience has passed them by.
This can be true of any of us – even in our thirties or twenties we start to notice that we aren’t as aware of our own experience as we get the feeling we should be.
The Benefit of Your Experience

The Benefit of Experience
It used to be said that there was no replacing the wisdom that comes with experience (and age). This isn’t said so often any more, but there are a lot of people who do seek to hire someone with experience, and rightfully so.
The reason wisdom is meant to come with experience is because when you have had a lot of experience that you have been present for, you have allowed yourself to be affected, shifted and matured by life. By experiencing your life, specifically by being present in your life and connected with what happens to you, you can’t help but find yourself working with life and your Source Energy. You can’t help but find yourself growing wise, understanding how life works and not getting quite so worked up about life. With such experience you begin to go with the flow of life. It only makes sense that such wisdom would be sought out. It also only makes sense that life is going to become easier on you and more enjoyable as you get into this flow throuh your own experience.
On the other hand, there are a lot of people who -sadly- become bitter with life. They have not aged gracefully and can look worn and tired in their late thirties or forties. In this scenario people tend to feel short-changed by life and they can be ill-tempered and short with others. This is because life can be a very challenging and painful teacher. When you miss the experience of your own life and you avoid feeling and being affected by life, you are also inadvertently missing the opportunities to gain from your life.
Avoiding life in these ways can lead to more and more painful experiences. People who avoid their own experiences in this way often find that the experience they are having seems to be very limited, very rigid and does not allow room for expansion. At this point a life in which dreams are fulfilled is almost impossible to achieve and instead life becomes a series of difficulties and challenges that seem to provide no joy or hope.
There Is Always Hope

Always Hope
Whether you are experiencing your life or not, there is always hope to change your ways. Life is an amazing experience because at every turn it gives us the opportunity to begin to have our own experience. Any time we do this, no matter how good or how bad life is for us, our lives then open to more positive change. Whether it is the good, the bad or the ugly we are meant to experience it all. We are also meant to have it all in life, but it is only when we are in the flow of life that we can gain from it all and have it all.

Dawn of a New Day
As I come out to my ramada in my front yard for breakfast, I see that I am not the only one begining a new day. I see that the chickens are looking for breakfast and exploring their world… though their area in the front yard hasn’t changed. I see the plants and trees in the front yard waking up, looking for a drink of water and stretching and opening their leaves.
It is a new day with new opportunities, and yet some of the old baggage from yesterday seeks to follow me. This I do not like. I see that worries from yesterday and unresolved issues accompany me, opening to the new day just like the leaves on my plants. This opening is unwelcome.
Today I want to be the real me. Today I want to connect with my Soul, my true spirit. I want my authentic self to shine her joyful, light-hearted and imaginative self through. She is unlimited and has amazing days, whereas the baggage lady has dull, heavy and difficult days. This is not me, not by any means.
One of the trees we planted two seasons ago calls to my attention. It is a golden honey locust so called because the new growth on this tree is yellow-gold and only turns green when it gets a bit more mature. She is getting full and has golden coloring all around her edges… and I wonder, when will she be fifteen feet high? When will she be a fully mature tree? When will she truly be a successful transplanted tree? And I realize I’m asking when she can be judged as a complete tree. But she has called to me to point out that I am seeing her in an incorrect light. She was an end-of-season sale tree that looked like she might not make it to see the next season. She had few leaves and branches and, at best, she was a three and a half foot tall twig. In establishing herself in the ground she has not grown too much and is only about five foot now, but the ghostly twig of two seasons ago has vanished and in it’s place is a beautiful, shinning little tree.
And she tells me that it is not the destination, but the journey that is what matters, that the now moment is what counts, not what could be in the future. And I see that there is no telling how she will develop tomorrow or next season, nor does it matter. The truth is that when she is golden and reaching for the sky right now then there is no doubt tomorrow she is going to grow taller. That is because today is all that matters and today is a beautiful day to drop off any old baggage and limitations.
Today is a perfect day to be who I truly am: to have a golden glow around me, the ghosts of yesterday’s baggage forgotten. Letting everything that passed yesterday flow, like water flowing down stream. Once that water is gone, it is gone. Why do we, as humans, try to hold on to memories, ideas and other things that have passed? Why do we try to hold on to water? No wonder we only manage to strain our muscles and cuase ourselves stress.
No water holding for me today. Today I will allow yesterday’s bagage to flow downstream and I will focus on the golden glow of today. I will allow life to bring me gifts, joy and for my now moment, leaving the past and the future to the river of life.

By Simon Townsen
About one year ago, I was at a turning point in my life. I had been walking my spiritual path for some time, but there was some sense of dissatisfaction. I wanted more. I wanted more connection. I wanted more abundance. I wanted more freedom. I wanted to be able to express who and what I was more freely.
So I set about changing my life. The first thing I worked on was career. I desperately wanted to find not just a job, but a career, a place where I was motivated, where I was giving the best of my Self to my company, to the people I worked with, to our clients and customers. At the time I was working for Merrill Lynch, and to be honest, I was not happy. So I had begun applying for jobs, and I was grasping at finding new work, more meaningful work.
I sat down with my Life Coach and Personal Guide, Kalyn, and she introduced me to what she called the Golden Flow. She told me to tune into what I desired. As she did I could feel that pull, that strong will to live a deeper more meaningful life, and to have that expressed through my career. She asked me, can you welcome that in? I said, “Yes.” And so I welcomed in all those feelings at deeper and deeper levels.
Then she said to me, “Can you let that flow? Can you let those feelings float downstream.” Instantly, I felt the grasp. I didn’t want to let go of that meaning, that sense of purpose. I wanted to hold on to it. But as I opened to the possibility of letting go of that grasp, for life to be different than what it was, there was this opening, this relief. There was this sense of acceptance of my life as it was. I could see myself still taking actions to get a new job, but it
wasn’t forced. I wasn’t grasping at it. Nor was I repelling my current work. I was allowing it all to be in my life. And I felt so empowered.
I suddenly felt as if I could choose from my Self rather than choosing from my fear, my lack, my grasp, or my repel. Three days later I had the career I desired. That is the magic of life.
I wish I could say that I understood the power of this simple practice right away, but the truth is, I did not. I like to think that I’m a rather bright guy, so doing something so simple seemed too easy. I felt like if things in my life were really going to change, it needed to be complex, there needed to be some deep metaphysical principals behind it (there
are–actually in this process–but knowing or not knowing the principals does not change the process, and does not make it work any better).
However, over the course of the past year, I have worked with this process, and I have seen again and again how powerful a force it can be to change my life. I have developed much more awareness as to where I am at, what I am grasping at, what I am repelling. I have seen
that all these reactions are not who I really am. They are simply an illusion. But I have spent so much of my life believing them, hooked into them, allowing the energy of these negative beliefs to rule my perception of the world, the choices that I take, basically all of my life.
The more I have welcomed, flowed, and allowed my life to be what it is, the more I have come into a place of empowerment, and of joy–a feeling that my life already has the purpose and the meaning that I have been longing for. There is a sense that my life is a mystery and the path is unfolding beneath my feet just as it should. I am where I need to be doing what I need to do. And the more I allow this, the more I flow with this, the more magic I find in each moment. Life loses that sense of struggle, and instead opens up at deeper and
deeper levels of magic and mystery.
I want to thank Kris and Kalyn for bringing this process through. If you have not had the chance, I really do recommend checking out their site:http://golden-flow-system.com/ There’s a bunch of resources to work with.
Problems abound. Not what we want an abundance of, by any means.
All people have problems, they are a part of life. However, there is a big difference between those who attract solutions to their problems and those who just accumulate more problems.
You may credit those who attract solutions to their problems as being fortunate, blessed or having a good attitude. You may also think that those with problems have them because the world isn’t fair or because they have bad karma- and both hold some truth.
The real magnetic force that LOA (Law of Attraction) utilizes in attraction solutions or problems to a person’s life is their energy. Our energy is the number one writer in the script of our lives. Energy can be flowing, connected with our Source Energy or it can be stagnant, blocked and resistant. Given this it may become obvious that solutions are attracted when energy is fluid and that more problems are attracted when energy is resistant.
What tends to not be obvious is what feelings and thoughts of ours are fluid and which are resistant.
A girlfriend of mine who I had been getting closer to had some hard times last winter because her business, of course, depended upon the economy. Times being what they are, the artwork she sells stopped selling, so her financial situation became difficult. Unfortunately, she allowed this to affect our friendship, and the truth is that this affected and soured all of her life. The fact that our friendship became compromised really had nothing to do with me, but it became a problem in my life. My problem: my girlfriend was no longer connecting with me, made assumptions about me that made no sense and I was getting a bit of a cold shoulder from her.
Assumptions can be easy to fix, you simply explain what is actual. Within our friendship the assumption was corrected, which helped the friendship. However, there was still space between us and some uncomfortable feelings.
Even though my friend’s financial problems had nothing to do with me, I reached out to connect to her and to explain the assumption. Most people would see that I had done no wrong, so to speak, and still extended to correct the assumption. Most people might, therefore, think that there was nothing left for me to do and that this problem wasn’t my fault and that I had tried to correct it anyways, so now I would just be left with the problem and no solution.
These things are true, however, when we live by the LOA then we can’t stope here. Instead we must recognize that my energy was really the cause of my having attracted the experience. So, I looked at my energy. This is where most people have a hard time.
To look at my energy and to see where it wasn’t flowing I looked at my energy and my feelings. I looked to see any places where I was feeling unhappy, angry or like I had been treated unfairly by my friend. When I found any feelings that I hadn’t sat with, I then worked on allowing them to flow. Until we get ourselves back into our own flow, we can’t hope for our energy to be flowing. Instead, we have to assume that our energy is not flowing and is attracting more problems, even problems which seem to have no solution, like the one with my friend.
I sat with this – it felt rediculous, as I had only taken actions to support her. It felt unfair and it made me sad, sad that it was more important to her to feel as though I was withdrawing my friendship because she was having financial difficulties (obviously she doesn’t know me at all!).
All of these feelings needed to flow; all of these feelings had energy behind them that was causing a block and keeping me from attracting a solution to the problem. Once I worked with this energy and allowed these feelings to be felt and to flow, my energy shifted.
Now, you may expect that I’m going to tell you that LOA attracted a solution for me, which would make sense. Better still, my friend called me, as if nothing in the world had ever been wrong, as if someone waved a magic wand and made the problem disappear.
That was just fine. After all, who needs a solution to a problem that no longer exists?

“Flowing is a natural state to each of you. Every day, and as often as you can remember to do so in a day, allow your energy to flow. This means that you open to your Source Energy’s flow by welcoming your experience and then allowing it to flow, the way a twig flows downstream as you sit on a rock and watch it go by. Welcome each experience you are having and then watch all of your experiences flow down the river of your life. It is only then that you will experience a greater current of your Source Energy. It is only then that you will see the things you desire flowing to you and flowing into your life.”
Today was a wonderful day for no good reason.
Once upon a time – a terrible, uncomfortable and not so-fun time- I used to think that I needed certain things to be happy. There were things I thought I needed like money, to be intelligence and to be loved by the right people. In other words, if I was doing things “right” then I knew I would be blessed by life. I would have a good life. Yes, I’m saying that I thought that these things outside of me would create happiness inside of me…
Well, once upon a time I was very unhappy. The things that I thought would make me happy or make me feel good were there sometimes and missing at other times but either way I was unhappy and certain life was not only not blessing me, but punihsing me daily! Ouch!
Tonight I watched Grey’s Anatomy and it was a wonderful episode. In the show everyone, of course, has their issues and their problems, but in today’s episode they put all of the ways life is “supposed to be” aside and instead allowed for a wonderful day. They each allowed for theirselves to let go of what they were grasping for in life – being a good doctor that doesn’t lose patience, being a person with money and such- and instead focused on what was there for them. Now they were enjoying something special and feeling good about life, regardless of what was wrong.
Today my daughter and I watered the plants. While I think life should be such that all my trees would be flourishing, I allowed myself to feel sad that two of our trees, including my favorite that I picked out at the nursery, are very likely dead. Very likely. Then I let this flow. And then I enjoyed the beautiful trees that we have.
Today I made lunch and dinner while trying to take care of 10 other things. While I think I would be happier with a maid and a cook, I let myself feel bombarded with life. Then I let this too flow, at which point I easily focused on the joy of the connection I feel with my family and I felt gratitude for the love in my life.
Today we went for a walk with the dogs. While I’m sure I should be walking more to get more exercise, I simply didn’t care. Instead I looked at my three year old and saw that she was really enjoying the dogs running and playing together so I told her that we should run and catch them. She thought this was great and laughed and laughed.
Sure, some things went “wrong” today and there were a few things I didn’t like. If I need to take care of something I will, but in the meantime I’ll let these things flow.
I’ll focus on the things that life did bring me today, the things that brought me joy. The things that made for a wonderful day. Today I allowed for a wonderful day.
Life isn’t perfect and it will never be what we think it should be. Nevertheless, in our Golden Flow(TM) we can allow for a wonderful day more and more often.
